The Kusanagi Suite

Release date: Summer 2018

The second project, "The Kusanagi Suite" (2018), is an album inspired by the mangas and animes of Katsuhiro Ōtomo, Masamune Shirow and Hayao Miyazaki. The suite is structured in three parts, each dedicated to one of these artists. The art for the covers has as reference the masterworks of Kawase Hasui, Gustave Courbet, Antonio Sant'Elia and Eugene Von Bruenchenhein

A sacred dear

A train picks up and takes us to the heart of a magical Japan, just like Chihiro on her trip to Wonderland. The travels, the countryside and the deep love of nature in Hayao Miyazaki's films is the essence of this theme.

The Host

The deep conversation between Batou and lieutenant Kusanagi defines the future of the technological world that has been proposed in Japan in the 90's. Shirow's vision, which harmonizes this song, is radically opposite to Miyazaki and immerses us inside the machines until we discover his soul.

Tokyo 2020

This song waves in the echoes of Akira. The relationships between Kaneda and Tetsuo is narrated with the sound of his screams, industrial noises and a deep piano performance. Strong moments of tension and for the apocalyptic drama of Katsuhiro Ōtomo.
